ArmorAuto's ArmorCoat - Revolutionary Paint Protection Coating

I was talking to Speedware Motorsports in Redmond, WA (425-869-5680)about custom clear bra application, because I want to have my wheel arches and side skirts painted body color. Andrew recommended Queen City Auto Rebuild's (425-883-3300) application of ArmorAuto, clear spray-on chip protection. Speedware use it on their track cars and they have a very elite client base (Ferraris, Porsches, Lamborghinis, etc.)

This is a spray-on paint chip protection. You can read about it at http://armorcoat.armorauto.com/.

I think I'm going to go with this. I'll make my final decision, once I get a quote from Queen City.

Is there anybody out there who has experience with this product?

sounds like something from ziebart..
Think of it as a thick clear coat.
Not removable afaik.

I bet it looks thick and lumpy also. I wouldnt do it for the simple fact that its permanent.

Be sure to look at some of the cars they have done before you decide to do it, it might look fine.

Personally I cant lve with the lines from a clear bra either.

The guy who recommended it was from Speedware, who do most of the high-end cars in the area. I doubt that a Ferrari or Lamborghini owner would stand for a "lumpy finish". Speedware says it looks like it has a multitude of layers of clear laquer. He said it's gorgous.

Intriguing... any idea how much this finish costs?

Interesting...but this coating must cost a fortune! Anyone done it, yet?

webstrands --

Did you ever have the Armorcoat installed on your MINI? I'd be curious to hear your opinion or experience with the product. I'm considering having this done instead of paint protection film.

Tnx.

Have you seen a car with this? Which areas of the MINI would this be applied?
