e brake storage tray

For $15 from outmotoring.com, you can't beat this addition. The tray is really handy and allows me to use this area now without worrying about whatever small item it is to slide down next to the seats. To me, it's a better design than the factory one because it is bigger without the gap next to the heated seat buttons and covers all the gaps in that area (I'm sure some dirt and crumbs will pass it by). It should also be easier to clean (rather than trying to vacuum between the seats and down in the crevices).

Made by MINI, too. I'm glad I saw the ad here because I didn't know this product exsisted.

I have the same little tray (and got it from Outmotoring as well). To me, this should be standard equipment. I would use that space to keep things like my cell phone, extra keys, etc. Occasionally I had to chase said items under the seats and on the floor. Not any more. The surface of the tray keeps things from sliding around in turns too. Another bonus is that it actually makes the space a bit bigger as well. It's easy to keep clean too, just lift it out and wash in soap and water.

I give this item

me TOO

I have one as well along with matching tray infront of the cut holders. I agree I can't live without it and its so simple - just drop it in place.

Best interior mod there is

I would rather have that setup than the 05' I have now with the built in-tiny tray...

It stinks because it has a small gap between the tray the window/heater controls that all sorts of dirt gets into and is a pain to get out!

They rock...can't think how many times I've chased my cell across the seat...mostly in the crack between the door and seat

The one up front seems to hold the wife's lip gloss pretty well too, just make sure to empty them out during "spirited driving" or you end up with goodies under your feet

Can you remove the 05 oem tray and switch to the drop in tray? I have the one from OutMotoring and think its great.

Ditto to all of the comments. As soon as I saw it, I bought it. Actually we bought two, one for my EB/W MCS (azuul) and one for my wife's CR/W Cooper (Ruby).

Actually, for just under $15 from Classic you can get both the ebrake tray AND the 'oddments' tray that goes in front of the cupholders (though the latter is useless to the '05 owners.)

Eric,

I guess I should have checked with Classic before ordering. That sounds like an outstanding deal. Thanks for the heads-up for those who haven't purchased yet.

I just called classic for just the e-brake tray (I retro fitted the 05 pocket under the toggles) and was quoted 18.95 - discount + ~10.00 shipping. does that sound right?

I purchased both trays (pn 51-16-0-305-535) from Classic last December for $14.96 ($18.70 less 20%). Shipping was $7.00 for the trays, 2 oil filters and jack kit.
