Mini Switch Plate Convertible Cover

Anyone got one for sale or know where I can buy one? MiniUSA is retarded and my dealer says they don't have any. I picked up my car before they started putting them on them at the VDC.

I'm afraid I don't know what 'switch plate' you're referring to. Your dealer can order anything with a part number. Try www.driveclassicmini.com and speak to parts. They discount parts and usually know what I'm talking about.

It's a marketing gimmick. Just ask your dealer if you can have one off one of the demo cars they have.

Howard,

the switchplate was installed on only a few cars. Thus, not only does it provide a service (re: no accidental closings), it is also VERY valuable as a collector's itm.

I'm letting mine go for $200. Let me know if you're interested.

Seems a shame. Only $200 for a collectors item, that is. Will you take $250?

I'm pretty

sure its not a collectors item, they put them on at the VDC before they hit the dealer. Of course since some of us decided to buy our cars early we got screwed out of them.

I've

called my MA and MiniUSA. Miniusa say my MA has them but they would keep an eye out for me (ya right) and my MA keeps telling me to talk to MiniUSA. Its a big run around.

Who's your MA, or rather, where are you?

You could try my MA at Lauderdale Mini, or I've heard good things about Classic Mini....maybe they can help you out?

well

Was Crown Mini of Richmond, They really don't like me much anymore after the whole my convertible is leaking issue. I think my MA is now the sales manager though.

They are part of the Factory Installed "Seat Ejection System" (prototype).

Works pretty good, but all of the convertible tops are getting expensive.
