Need help taking a AUTO shifter off

I need a little instruction (or pointed where it is) of taking a AUTO shifter apart to put a new leather boot on.

I can't seem to find a thread or anyplace of how to remove the shifter top

Thanks

the handle comes off with a nice hard pull. i took my CVT shifter off and put a MCS Manual shifter in and made a short throw shifter for my CVT.

it just "pulls" off like my MCS? Nothing holds it on, how about the push down release?

Yes it just pulls off like the MCS ones. I put mine in Neutral and "pulled" off  Hard to believe eh?

thanks...

Yep, hard to believe, now I just have to install my new boot and I'll be all done.

I guess I was just a "little" nervous with the "pull it off" but...if that's how it's done so be it.

Thanks again
