In the jan 2003 road and track, they tested the mini cooper s. And at the conclusion they mention a Rauno Aaltonen, and Paddy Hopkirk rally editions, complete with spare-tire roof rack and center-mounted spotlight. Anyone heard anything about this, coz i am planning to purchase a rally light for my car, but if there's a special edition, i am just wondering if there might be a new style rally light, or something?

No, the editors were just saying what-if. You know, theorizing about what might happen in the future. These aren't actually planned (yet?).

The special editions mentioned in Road and Track are not too likely for 2003. The best bet would be the John Cooper Works Edition, which I believe includes an aero package, lights, etc, and a bump to 200 bhp. Check it out
