Help bypassing the airbag weight sensor in retrofitted seat

So I bought a set of new to me front seats out of an r56 and installed them in m 06 r53 and they work great, except for one issue. I got a really good deal on the seats because the passenger seat's weight sensor is broken although the airbags are still good in the seat. Because I followed a retrofit guide and slightly modded the wiring for the seats I am unsure of how to disable the seat's weight sensor. I know it is not uncommon for them to fail and they make bypass cables for them but I cannot use one as I am not using the r56 plugs anymore, Any and all ideas are appreciated and I know my way around a soldering iron so its ok if things get slightly complicated.
Thanks, David

It might work for 2002-2004 MINI, but not for 2005+ which has a completely different (digital) system. It was changed in 2005 to meet new federal airbag regulations.
