Removal of rear brake ducts? Or whatever these are...

I think these are (fake) rear brake ducts. I would like to remove them and paint them but am not sure how they come out and don't want to destroy anything.

Anyone taken these out? Any tips?

Thanks!

Looks to snap in from the wheel well side

Could even maybe get these and paint them. Might look nice since they are larger

Why remove them, rather open them to make use of the fake, if you really dont like them, fill em up with putty and paint, any good paintshop can do it.
