Lower Grille Surround Removal

Good evening.

I just bought a new lower grille surround for my R56. Do I need to remove the grille in order to remove the lower surround trim? I searched on here but no word on that.

Thanks!

It does clip to the grille, but I'm pretty sure the chromeline grille is different than the standard grille. I believe that the standard grille doesn't have the slots for the chrome surround to clip into. You may be able to mod the standard grille to accept the chrome surround.....
