Decals

Just had the 'COOPER' side graphic from CooperFlags applied yesterday. Have a sun roof graphic on order and will post pics when fully dressed. I got the 'Intimidator' side graphic from CooperFlags but since my MINI is a Cooper and not an 'S' I have the two red S's that I'm willing to sell for $10. I figure they cost me about $7 per letter.

Classic Mini owners run stickers that state: "BMW Parts Free". New MINI owners have responded with "Lucas Free" stickers. Lucas supplied electrical parts for a lot of British cars in the 60's including the original Mini. Their reliably was, shall I say - questionable. I speak from experience with having owned two Bugeyes. The cloth covered wires and connectors were very problematic.

There are tons of LUCAS jokes. My favorite is: "Why do Brits drink warm beer? - Because Lucas made the refrigerators". Also... "Lucas.. Get home before dark!" Lucas... "Prince of darkness!" Tons more...

CruzinChris 09-26-2004 12:13 AM

I'm the "NO Sticker Man", but I like to run these door magnets when I drive the GAP...

Just a few from the last track day at Second Creek Raceway in August.

the number was magnetic and borrowed from a friend. But the other stickers are there all the time. The blue stuff on the headlights is painters tape to protect the lights from rock chips and other road crap while on the track.

asaulo1 09-27-2004 10:07 AM

here's mine... although it's on the inside of the car

lucas, prince of darkness

Q: Why do the English drink warm beer?

A: Because Lucas makes the electrics for the refridges.....

Hello Dragonflyer

Received a private message but was unable to respond with pictures you requested. You had asked for a clearer picture of my bonnet stripes, which are smaller version of side graphics

That is so awesome... I wondered whose it was, I saw it on the vendor's site!
Was that custom done... I mean did you send them the file to use to generate the decal? It gave me loads of ideas... I'd love to do a Kandinski or Matisse on the roof (when I ever get a MINI!)... So I'm doing loads of dreaming right now.
Any info on how you went about having it done and installed would be appreciated.... I just LOVE it!

mona cooper

I prepped the file from high quality reproduction of the painting. Had Cooper Flags make it and I applied.
95% of all art work will not work. It may look good in your mind but it has to have the right shape. Mona Lisa is perfect.
I always like to have a pretty woman on top.
