Semi Permanent Adhesive that won't Mess up Dash?

The subject line says it all. I was wanting to attach a trinket to the dash but I don't want to mess up the dash. Any ideas on what to use? thanks!

3M Command brand "Damage-Free Hanging".
Any hardware type store.

That stuff is thick! Try booger tape, its double sided and is used for car emblem remounting and other types. 3m makes it too but avail at napa or body shops
