Aero Grille and scoop

That looks awesome!! I have the aero grille set, but I am thinking of having the outer trim of the aero grilles chrome plated if possible. I want to keep the mesh sections black, but have the surrounding areas in chrome or maybe match the body color. Has anyone done something like this?

something that i have been wanting to try on my pw s, is to paint the stock grill black(both the chrome and body colored slats), as well as painting the "S" gill on the fender black(mainly the chrome parts).

after seeing all the white e46 m3's, with the black grills and gills really makes me wonder how it would look

Going to SF to do a wine country drive is a bit out of the way for me, so we should meet up somewhere up there. Would it be out of the way to meet at a winery?

that sounds cool. I'm not familiar with any of them (wineries) tho....don't drink. Let me get a couple of maps together and I'll call you guys.

Ya but, it runs off my home phone line so I need to know before you send a fax so I can turn the machine on.

Most of the wineries are right off of the highway and are really easy to see.... I think the hardest one to miss is probably Robert Mondavi. I told the GoldCountryMINI folks about this run also just in case they feel like taking part.... like you said, the more the merrier.

hello, if you have a dremmel and can get the bumper facia off, you can do it. there's a How To somewhere on getting the bumper off. Once that's done, you basically have to grind off the all the tabs except for the ones on the upper/outer left and right sides of the new piece, do just the tabs for now. You'll be making New ones when you figure out where they go. Remove the original grill from the car, once off put the new grill in place and mark off the sections where your new tabs will be, I just scratched them on the inside of the grill, match as many as possible, at least 6. Get the Dremmel and grind off 1/4 inch all the way around the grill except for area's that are going to be your new tabs. Once done with that re-allign the tabs with your bumper, press them thru as much as possible and using a lighter light the tab til it melts, then press it flat to keep it from backing out. Do the same for the rest. I used ShoeGoo on my tabs, but found that melting the tabs on Jason's, holds tighter. Just have to be careful not to catch your car on fire , put the bumper back on and your done. hope this helps and makes sense btw, if your anywhere near SF, I'd be willing to help.

The black grille, hood scoop and bonnet stripes look so hot on PW it is bloody ridiculous. Nice going JCampos!

Strictly out of curiosity (my MCS is DS/B), could anyone photoshop JCampos's headlight surrounds so they are flat black?
