Color-coded arches and moldings

Just wondering if anyone with color coded arches and/or moldings have had problems with cracking paint? Planning on getting mine custom painted, but worried about the paint cracking down the line.
Experiences anyone?

Body color arches & moldings

Had mine done by dealer prior to delivery, no problems with quality of paint work.

Hope that helps...

I have no problems with cracking paint on most of the car - except for the bottom edge of the front bumper at one spot where I pulled too far forward into a solid snow bank in the winter. I think that both the bumper and paint are slightly cracked - but I only noticed this week so it is not a big deal.

The main issue I have is that the rear wheel arches are a little "peppered" by stuff thrown up onto them from the front wheels. With the standard black textured trim you would not notice but with a painted finish it does show, when the car is clean. Of course, as soon as you drive, new dirt is thrown up and you can't tell the difference between dirt and peppered paint.
(see attached pic - looks like dirt, but actually it is chipped paint)

I would still do the trim painting again - but I might also investigate a "clear bra" protection of the rear wheel arches.

The key to proper adhesion and crack prevention is to use adhesion promotor
prior to the primer with flex agent added. It is double security over just
using primer with flex agent added.

In the future, I think Im going to paint my arches flat back to match the color
around the arches on the aero bumper. Im getting kind of tired of cleaning the
arches and applying Back-to-Black every other week. Its kind of a messy job to
clean and apply that sauce. I still prefer the black arch look over the color matched arches on my car so want the flat black finish.

Had mine done by dealer when Areo kit was installed. No problem with paint at all. As stated above proper prep is the key to painting. The only problem I had is chipping on rear forward edge of skirt do to auto-x.
