Tapless Adaptor for OIL PRESSURE gauge.. it's HUGE!

Hi, I am building a 70% track car, about to put some gauges.
Purchased this below, Attachment 146412 After I opended the box, I am concerning that big one-piece steel thing is too long and too heavy, possibly can cause break at the neck.. (length is 80mm and pretty heavy..) Anybody know why that tapless adaptor has to be that long? (I ordered it for an R56S LCI if that makes any difference) Anyone experienced/heard that continuous vibration can cause breakage/crack at the neck of the adapter? (which will lead to a blown engine) |
