tail light auestion
Hello all. Im currently looking into changing my already aftermarket tails lights and have run into a wall. The only lights that i have found that i would like to put on my car are the spec d led lights. The issue is that everywhere that i found them being sold they say that they are only compatible with the 2005-2006 mini. Mine is a 2003 so what would the difference be?
Thanks |
There was a change in the rear taillights when the rear back up light (located in the center of the bumper) was integrated into the rear taillight.
So those aftermarket ones are wired fro the 2005+ (7/2004 production+). Thats my guess. More info on the pre 7/2004 and the post 7/2004 designs and options. https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...il-lights.html http://c1552172.r72.cf0.rackcdn.com/286562_x600.jpg Thanks |
2003 have reverse light in middle bottom of bumper & fog lights in rear lights.
2005-2006 have reverse lights in rear lights & fog light in middle bottom of bumper. Car can be rewired to accept later lights but will need fog light fitting into middle bottom of bumper, if you need one. Cheers Chris |
That really blows. All of the lights that i have looked at dont do it for me and i cant stand the ones i have. Guess its back to stock then

Did you check out the Euro MINI rear lens ? Linked above.

Yes and i like them but 90 a piece is too steep for me right now.
|
Nevermind that. 336 is way out of my budget

If they were $90 each I would be all over the euro clear center.
|
The Full Euro Clears are linked above and ~150 each with the bulbs set that are separate.
These are some old school Genuine MINI taillights. Don't see too many people with these anymore. So makes them unique and they look really nice. |
