Quick Update

-Chrome bezels still are not done. Nothing I can do about it, the company that is plating them is just taking way longer than we thought. It has been so long, it just has to be soon!

-We are going to be adding Oil Temp to the available functions soon.

-Still working on Oil PSI

-R53 support is going to be very tough given that the older models use a completely different OBD protocol (The standard changed in 2007).

-F56 support is certainly in our sights as well.

Thanks for the update! We are all patiently waiting and look forward to the usual Cravenspeed quality.

I sure hope so! Afraid it is out of my hands but I would really like to get them in, it has been a crazy long wait.

Has anyone had trouble "rotating" the gauges with the new backs on? Used to be able to lightly grip with your thumb and forefinger and rotate the case. Mine are real tight and I don't want to press too hard.

We will get you a set that is already rotated to the correct position, cactus. Rotating is not really dangerous to the gauges inside the inner housing that rotates in the cup protects the electronics form any potential damage.

We don't want them to rotate on their own, so we made them fit tight.

Just rotated my boost gauge today. Just needed a little tweak. If you put your thumb on the face and forefinger on the back of the gauge it moves easily enough, but still holds it tight.

Thanks! It was not easy to find someone who could chrome them like that, it is important that it looks good!

Now, just get the oil temp or pressure working and my order will go in.

Seriously.... Nice work. Even more serious, the order will go in when you offer the oil temp...

There is currently an informal single gauge option that I have been offering for $300. I have been told that if/when we create an actual single kit that pricing would need to be more like $350.

So, the only way to get a single kit for now is to contact me/us and we can set up a kit for you. Which parameter are you planning to monitor?

That's the direction I went. I'm interested in doing more gauges, but all on the A-pillar and I'm assuming I'd have to request longer wiring and fab up the A-pillar myself... Too busy right now to take on that project, but if Kellen offers something like this he can have a good bit of my $ haha

Thanks Ian, no plans for the A-pillar right now though.

I noticed that my boost and water temp gauges are much brighter than what I have the tach set at. Assume that there is no way to adjust the brightness of the nGauges?

It's true, there is not a brightness adjustment for nGauge.

Any updates on the oil pressure? Sounds like Scan Gauge has a method...

Progress has been slow, but here is what I can tell you about the version 2 of our gauges. When they are ready:

-They will not be called nGauge (Just CravenSpeed Gauges now)
-Both Gen 2 and Gen 3 MINIs will be supported
-Oil Temp and Oil PSI will be available
-Brightness will be adjustable

The thing I don't know exactly is when we will have them available for you. We have a mailing list just about these gauges you can sign up for on this page with just your name and email address.

I have a "prototype" version of the Cravenspeed Gauges for my '09 Cooper S. Lately I've noticed my temperature gauge doesn't start off at 110*, such as cold, morning starts. Instead it starts at and never goes below 140*. Lately my temperature seems to be creeping upwards to match. When the needles do their initial sweep they don't quite match up like they used to. What gives?

P.S. My fan works as I've seen, heard it come on. My thermostat was recently replaced and coolant was changed as well.
