I’ve decided to change the grill bars and bonnet scoop on my Chilli Red with white roof MCS. The choices were chrome, white, or black. After looking at several pictures I decided that the chrome and the white are a little too ricey, so I’m going for black. Now the questions:

In your opinions which would look better, gloss black or flat black?

I’ve seen the carbon fiber bonnet scoop; very expensive, but it looks great - - is there a source for carbon fiber grill bars for the S?

 

You have to ask yourself if you want the scoop to tie in with the rest of the paint or with the black arches/side runner?

My vote is gloss. That's what I did.

 

I vote a gloss black scoop, keep the red grill though.

 

I went with gloss black, but I have a black roof. I had one that was (kinda) flat black, and IMO it looked nowhere near as good as the factory black one I have on there now.
There was someone in the marketplace forum about a week and a half ago wanting to sell the upper grille off a jet black MCS. I talked to him and it was going to run me about $90 shipped to Vegas (from memory).
