05-06 Rear View Mirror the same as an R56?
 

Do the R56 mirrors retrofit into the 05-06 R53's?

Goto realoem and look up the part# for each....
Edit ...see you are looking for "retrofit", not see if they are the same...

Yeah, looking at realoem and the MINI of Atlanta parts pages (looks to be a better interface to realoem)

Drawings for both look to be the same for the mirror assembley, and the OEM mirror covers all say 'from 2004 up', so I am pretty sure it will work...

Use the part #, not the pics...the drawings are only generic....schematics. if the part# is the same, you are fine. If the part number is not the same, they are different.

The wiring is different according to wiring diagrams. The antenna/receiver for the remote key is in the mirror and it will make a difference.
