B/W Checkers on Chili Red

Can someone share photos of how black/white checkers (like the one on the license plate frame, rear view mirror cover, side mirror covers, etc) look on the Chili Red paint?

Specifically, I'm wondering about some simple and classy striping or decals on the sides of my clubman. On a hard top I think the side being naked is OK, but on a clubbie it's a long expanse of red...

And I just put on the front checker license plate frame, now thinking of matching it with the checkered rear view mirror cover... I think I'll keep my mirrors black but want to see examples of checkering on Red sides.

My clubbie is red body red roof, but with roof rails ( that add a bit of black there), sunroof (also breaks up the Red top) and stripes (OEM sport stripes)

Thanks!!

Here are a few pictures for you. There's lots of designs out there to choose from.

Sorry I wasn't clear on the true challenge -- I see tons of checkers on red... but only when they also themselves have white roofs/mirrors...

so I'm wondering here, who has done white-black checkers on an otherwise RED and black car?

Ahhh sorry, I missed that part. I thought it seemed too easy. The one in post 631 over in the chili red owners club is a little closer. Otherwise, maybe a little photoshop project?

I have the checkered plate frame on my CR Cooper which is otherwise all red with black trim, etc. It's sort of a washed out cell phone picture, but here it is. It looks pretty sharp.

Edit: Oops, just re-read your post, guess this won't help!

Danny, actually you might help - since I'm just trying to get ideas, etc. Ask yourself this -- would you add more checkers to match/complement the license frame there?

I have two things at play:
I recently added the same frame, on the front right now
I have a clubman and I just think the sides, being all red is begging for some kind of a motif, just something subtle... line/checker/stripe-ish... down low...

aha! that's the kind of picture I needed... an otherwise all red and black, and yet they do white checkers... goes with the 37... hmm... will need to study this...

I have been liking the idea of wavy checkers rising as you go back...

If you think the white is too much you could also do black checkers with the red, like this (change the car color below the picture) Personally I think the black/white looks sharp with the otherwise black/red combo.

I've been thinking about adding checkers in red and black to the A pillars. I think that would look sharp, our stripes down the side in either black and white or black and red.
