Interior/Exterior reattach cover under intercooler
reattach cover under intercooler
About 6 months ago my MINI had some work done at a local body shop after a front end collision and they had to replace the intercooler as it was damaged. Last week when I was walking to the car I noticed that something was hanging down underneath, and after investigating it turns out to be a part that RealOEM just calls "cover", part number 3 on the pic below. The point that has become disconnected is labeled 4 in the pic, and RealOEM is showing that point should be attached with a C-Clip nut. However on mine, there is just a strange screw with a plastic washer in the hole, and I can't find where on the car it's supposed to actually screw into. Does anyone have a pic of how this part is attached to the car? I could take it back to the body shop but like I said it was 6 months ago so they'll probably just say it's something I did, and if it's a simple fix I'd rather do it myself anyway.
Thanks
Thanks
No one? Someone with the Bentley manual wanna help out here with a diagram maybe? I just need to know how that one point attaches and I don't really want to spend $80+ on the manual when I only have 4 months left in this MINI then I'll either have a new R56 or R58.
Attached you'll see is that the lower front covers attach to the radiator front panel (see 51-Vehicle Trim --> Front Panel [diagram #51_6154]).
Seems that the body shop overlooked the needed replacement of the front panel, as that mounted tab is snapped off.
