I've been waiting for LED tail lights forever, but I don't think those look very good. It would be nice to see a pic of them on a car though.

They look exactly like these: http://www.tuning-addict.fr/fr/feux-...hrome-06-.html

They offer both the black and clear versions. I wonder if Outmotoring can also get the clear ones.

Here's a video with them on the car: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rI70a9fPrbE&NR=1

I'd get a set too if the clear ones became available.

BTW, the tail lights don't actually flicker like that. It's just how it appears after they filmed it.

They also sell the LED side marker lights as well. However them pone I bought last year right before the Dragon quit working about 9 months after I got them. Russel at MINI FINI [also in columbus OH] had mentione that these always burn out after a year. I like the tail lights but if they are the same quality as the side marker lights, I'll pass

Are they plug and play? Or do you have to splice some wires?

I sent an email to Outmotoring and they said they could get the clear version as well. I'm guessing the next time they order is when they add that option, if they do indeed decide to do it.

They look great!
Thanks for posting. I was dead set on the clear version but after seeing yours now I'm torn.

Are these plug and play? Just remove the tail light rings and then remove the tail lights and its wiring harness and replace?

ryoma111 where did you get these from? Outmotoring shows them as out-of-stock.

These are completely plug and play. All you have to do is:
-Remove tail light rings
-Unscrew the three screws holding OEM tail light
-Remove harness from OEM tail light
-Remove OEM reverse light bulb and place into LED tail light
-Replace harness into new tail light assembly
-Screw tail light assembly back into place and put tail light ring back in place.

Here are a couple more pics during the day that are a little clearer (sorry taken from iPhone 4 camera)

I believe that relay/resisters are built into the tail light assembly since there is no hyperflashing when the LED blinkers are activated. The tail light that is on shown above is the dimmer brightness you see when the head lights are turned on. The actual depressed brake light light is much brighter than shown (my phone only captures it as a blur). And yes, I did order these from Outmotoring.com. I waited a LONG time for these to get back in stock. The only thing I was not happy about was that the reverse light was halogen and not LED, but other than that this is a great addition! Hope this helps my friends!

And here is one to show off the ride ^^

Nice writeup, thanks for the info ryoma. Add me to the list of those waiting for Outmotoring to get more in stock.

Love your car, looks awesome. What exhaust do you use?

I wonder if the black ones would look weird with a chrome surround on the tail lights.

I sent an email to outmotoring.com to see when they would be back in stock on Friday night. I will report back when I get an answer.

I also asked if I placed an order now would they charge my CC or do they charge it when the item actually ships.

The guys at Outmotoring are very responsive. This is the email response that I received this morning.

From Aaron Comaby:
We just got 6 sets in on Monday and sold them all already so we are reordering in 3 weeks and will get 12 sets and will also get some clear as well.

I think I will place an order today.

As for the halogen reverse light bulb... why not replace it with a LED bulb? That will complete the look.

I can't help myself... I am trying so hard to find something else to do to my car. Maybe I will get rid of the JCW suspension and get some KW V2 coilovers from Way Motor Works next .
