Interior/Exterior Alta boost and temp gauge

Alta boost and temp gauge
Took my time and performed a real sanitary install. I love the gauges and the red matched the interior fairly close. One issue is that when turning down the interior lights the gauge lamps will turn white from red. The interior light voltage drops too low IMO. In the photo I used a flashand you can see there is no flashback or glare from the FES InvisiLens gauge lenses

norcal, i recently installed these gauges as well and i love em!
I never get any glare, probably because i put on the gauge "hoods" that came with the kit. it will be somewhat difficult, but try putting those on. not only will they get rid of any glare from the sun, but they look better/more stealth in my opinion as well

Ive used the hoods on mine as well.. which definately help.
Like I tell everyone, buy different gauges that you can really see, and buy a different mounting system that actually works. Its tough to get them to stay without a little work... mine would always start to loosten up and droop. you can only tighten that screw so much.
live and learn right

Check the electrical forum -- "Hot or not fuses" thread or something of the like. I'm pretty sure its stickied. Something like 28, 29, 32 or 34 or something like that should be constant 12v fuses, unless you're looking for switched 12v for when the lights come on only.. again, check the thread and you'll find the one you're looking for.

your correct, what my issue is i like my car gauges all dim and when i go below 1 or 2 clicks, the dimming feature on my boost gauge doesnt sense 12v so it un dims(while the car gauges are dim). So... i always have to have the gauges of the car bright in order to dim the boost gauge... does that make sense?

I'm probably going to be doing this with my gauge soon too. What did you end up removing to get access to the footwell module? What holds the dead pedal area in place?

Pretty basic, i had enough room to where i didnt have to un bolt the seatbelt anchor.
By the dead pedal, peel back evenly and slowly and youll start popping off the under panel clip by clip until you get to the back end of the trim (near the seatbelt anchor)...
The dead pedal is "part of the carpet so remove the carpet retaining screw behind the brake pedal(unscrews with your fingers)...
The un bolt(2 10mm) the module from its brace one nut on top and one on the bottom...
Un clip all 3 harnesses and remove the module...
Find the gray/w brown tracer wire on the top most harness(when the module is in its the one thats up top closest to the front of the car)...
tap it with the light on wire...
***TEST the gauge before you put things together all lights on and all blinkers etc. ***
make sure you have enough wire, i routed mine under the carpet padding to the center console...
use a plastic knife to line up the rubber trim over the plastic trim...
the trim by the seat rail i got to clip in by holding on to it with my fingers and yanking towards me, youll hear them pop in... you know you got em all when there's no movement in the panel....
You done
