So, as part of my deal in getting my 08 Chili red S hardtop, the dealer is putting on the white sport stripes (bonnet/boot) and red stripes (roof). Question is, does anyone have any thoughts on whether to run the stripes over the bumpers as well or not? I am having trouble deciding. Can you post pics if you have them?

I had the full sport stripes installed at delivery, and just had the side stripe put on last week.

so question on stripes. when they come. are they strait pieces of vinyl? i have a friend at a sign shop and he will apply stuff that is cut but doesn't want to just take regular vinyl and worry about the contour of the car. he thinks that it won't work like that? do they just come as strait rectangular pieces or do they curve and such to fit on a certain way? does that make sense?

 

For the sport stripes like mine, straight pieces of vinyl is what you want. I cut mine from a roll and applied them myself. The only contour that almost created an issue were the bumpers, but after a few hours in the hot sun, the wrinkles went away.
