Is running driving lights off the facory fog-light leads possible?
So I recently decided to run brake-cooling ducts from the factory fog light openings, since one of the fog mount brackets got blown up by a rogue reflector post... No further details
. However, as a result of this modification, I now have a pair of perfectly integrated leads for H11 bulbs that are no longer in use. I've been looking around a bit and I'm really into the idea of adding some driving lights to replace the fogs, and I was really hoping there would be a way to operate them off of the existing switch and wiring. Now I'm not very familiar with the different bulb types and applications, and perhaps this would explain why I can't seem to find H11 driving lights... But would it be possible to rig something that would work via the factory fog leads?

The only issue is that the factory wiring turns off the fogs when high beams are on (probably the situation when you want to use driving lights the most). Otherwise the fog bulbs are 55 watts, and driving lights should wire up directly as long as they they aren't too much higher wattage. If you want much higher wattage, connect them to relays.
