Yakima Roof Rack/Can't open sunroof
 

To all you guys/gals that have a Yakima Roof Rack, what did you do to mod the rack so you can open the sunroof? i want to enjoy the open top with the upcoming great weather, but my rack prohibits me from opening the sunroof. i've looked throughout the forums but can't seem to find the answer. any help is appreciated.

I would try turning the bolts that mount the back half of the rack upside down, and drill a hole into the bike carrier, and run a hex nut from the top... that's if you're using the bike racks

Now there's an idea i didn't think about. i'll have to try that. Is that what you had to do? if so, can i get a pic of yours? Oh, and yes i use my rack to carry my bikes to the trails twice a week. i know some just like the look of a rack, but i actually use mine. thanks.
