My 2 cents worth -- I like the look of the car as is. The black roof is a good contrast with the silver body and matches/balances your CF scoop and JCW kit. I would just leave the roof color black IMHO. I would even get black mirror caps... or even better, CF mirror caps $$$!!!

Or do a solid color vinyl roof. You can change it when you get tired of it.

I like the black roof, too, but it's your car. Before you paint it, check out pictures of other MINI's that have the roof same color as the body. They do have a certain look; boring to some, perfectly matched to others.

I agree with Jeffrey C, sticking with the original paint is a good idea for a lot of reasons.

If there isn't vinyl with saturation deep enough to cover black, then the silver checkerboard would look great, IMO. But I suspect that covering black won't be a problem.

Paint the smae color of the stripes that would be sweet or just paint it some wild color(within good taste) White, black and body color roofs are starting to oget played out I wish MINI would allow some more customization in that part. Maybe paint it another body color like horizon blue, brg, or one of the other colors it would look sweet.

I would like it more body colored, but I don't think I would like it enough to be worth it. Do you have a sunroof? If it were mine I'd leave it black and blackout all the chrome! Would look sexy with those black wheels!

Nice looking car! I would paint the roof and still keep the black wheels. I think that would look the best. By the way, what wheels are those?

I'd be curious to know the cost as well. I'm considering going Hot Chocolate non-metallic on the roof of my OB/W.

Should message Mark (orangecrush) to see ballpark figures for painting it.

Think they're OZ Ultraleggera's.

Thank you for your suggestions guys, so far we have:

Leave it as it is (black roof)= 4
Paint it body color(white silver)= 3
Use vinyl = 1
Other color= 1

Today I took my car to the tint shop, had them tint all window (except front) 30%, I think it made a huge improvement to the look of the car, now I am having second thoughts about painting the roof because I really like the way it looks with the black roof and tinted windows. After the tinting I went to Marco's body shop in Pasadena to get an estimate of how much would cost me to paint the roof and the wing, Well ...very expensive about $1,500 , Marco's recommended not to paint it, he said the car look great the way it was, especially after the tinting.

take a look at my car now

And yes the wheels are 18" O.Z ultraleggeras

Leave it as is. I think it would ruin a limit edition model and make it less desirable plus painting roof never yields a factory quality job as it will require masking the roof which leads to issues with paint getting on trim.

Need to get a gominigo front plate bracket, the Pasadena police/parking people love to give no front plate tickets if you park on the street!

Yup, I say leave it as is too. The tint, the black wheels, and the joey headlamps all require it!

Great wheels, those OZ's. The only suggestion I would make is to get black mirror caps.

I would agree with you if it was not a Camden but, the fact that it is the mirror caps on there are part of the package that you buy. So, changing them would be a waste of money. But, I agree with a lot of people leave it as is it looks good. So good I jizzed in my pants!! I had I am sorry I just felt the need to put that.

The nice part about the mirror caps is that it would be very easy to switch them back to the original 'package' appearance before reselling. Similar to the red mirror caps on the GP. Many don't like the way they look on that car.

I say vinyl it. that way you're not too committed to the color in case you don't like it.

This is the only front license plate bracket I would consider

After the tints I have to see keep the roof black it looks great! How about getting rid of the chrome by making it the body color? I think that's all the car needs. My friend painted my chrome at his shop to match my chili red and it really made a huge difference.

I have thought of that too, still undecided weather to black out all the chrome, paint it body color or leave it as it is.

Hav you had any paint chipping issues because I have. I am considering having them repainted.
