Check Out Bergey's New Wheels & Tires !
Bergey's OEM 5-Stars are going to be his winter shoes from now on. Here's the shoes he's been wearing for the past three years (just had his third birthday last week):
http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r...dCalipers2.jpg http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r...dCalipers5.jpg I like those OEM wheels. They look pretty nice and they're super-easy to clean. But Bergey was ready for a change. Something to match his personality. So, here's what I selected: http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r...iteWheels3.jpg http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r...iteWheels6.jpg As you can see, those are OZ Racing Superturismo WRC's. Those are the same size as the OEM wheels, 16 x 7, with a 37mm offset. I matched them up with Nitto NeoGen tires in 205/50/16s. http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r...iteWheels5.jpg http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r...iteWheels7.jpg Yeah, keeping them clean will not be easy. But it's a labor of love, as I'm sure most of you feel about keeping your MINIs gorgeous. |
I think they look fantastic given Bergey's other assets and your detailing insanity level.
One of the very few cases where I think white wheels "work"... |
Thanks, Paul. Yeah, I believe my detailing insanity is about to reach new heights.
|
Very nice! I love the rally car look of those wheels.
|
Very nice, Chris! Like Paul says those white wheels work on Bergey.
|
Thanks, Crashton.
Thank you, Mike. Appreciate the kind words ! |
Verry coool car...and wheels...and tires. How do you like the NeoGen's?

Had the NeoGens out on a club run yesterday. Some good twisties...and they handled fine. Nice smooth, quiet ride, too. I researched a couple of tire vendor websites and read reviews on them, and read some threads here on NAM, too, before buying. They got the best reviews of any similarly priced performance tire. |

That looks really nice and you can always get them powder-coated after the whiteness gets tedious.  :)
No, I know you are a massive detailer, they look great on Bergey. Like the tire/wheel combo, first class. I am liking the NeoGen on my MCSa, too. :) Don |
Yeah, Don... if there was ever any question about me being an Insane Detailer, this should answer those questions.
And yeah, if the white gets too much to bear, I can always have them powder coated... Whiter White.  |

A man after my own heart....maybe it's a good thing I don't have a nice garage like that...I'd spend all my time in there.

Oh Man I just love those Superturismo on red.
Gosh I'm drooling over those rims. White rims on White/Blue/Red body are just way too cool... |
Excellent
Your car looks great. The OZ Wheels are perfect on your car. I'm guessing they are much lighter then the stock wheels so you should get a nice performance boost along with the great new look.
