I'm thinking of mounting a sat radio tuner on the oval plate that contains the sunroff switch and the temperature sensor. There is a nice flat area between them. Does any body know what is behind this and can it be removed without great difficulty?

 

Im pretty sure its open behind there. The grille is not for anything. I have the auto A/C and there is no temp sensor behind there. I mounted the mic for my handsfree phone kit behind there. Both the sunroof switch and the vent can be popped off by hand and from there you can see how much room you have in there.
