Holes left behind when debadging...

I'd like to debadge, but I really don't know what my options are here. I would like to get rid of the front and rear MINI wings. It is my understanding that these badges leave holes behind. I'm just curious what people have done to hide those holes. I'd prefer not to do an overlay that is body colored as I want it smooth. Is the only option to go to a body shop???

From what I have seen you either have the 'nostril holes' on the front, or take it to the body shop to get it filled and painted. Or you could be different and reinstall your mini wings upside-down, just to confuse people.

what i did was install a set of custom badges...you could go steathly and vinyl color match them lol

The proper way for a body shop to eliminate the holes is to weld them shut and then finish them. Not many do it that way (too much cost and talent needed to do it right), but that is the correct way.

anyone have pics of a debadged mini to show? are the holes really bad?

i'm thinking of debadging soon, i could afford to know this.

EDIT: wow, my mini's trunk door currently has paint scratches and 2 holes where the wings used to be, and the hood has 3 holes. i need me some bondo and touch-up paint.:eek2:

the area around the COOPER lettering, however, looks as though nothing was ever there. super clean. time to give some euro-tuner appeal to the quintessential british sport compact.
