Just wonderin' if anyone has done this on a gen 2 mc.(2008)
Any tips would be appreciated.
Thanks
Hello Pedro
I did mine and love the look...never used it anyway. I went to a local bike shop and bought the washer...I think its called a head washer and used and allen head and a rubber groumet...really simple and cheap.

I did mine a little different. I just took the arm off and made a stainless cap that matches the antena and it just screws on

well if it was not for the stupid sprayer it could be alot shorter. I could drill a hole in the end and spray idiots who drive too close.

i will resist any more phallic references, but once again, i thought mine was long.

kidding aside, your method is certainly quicker and easier. no need to remove the interior hatch trim and wiper motor. oh yeah, i would definitely drill a hole in the end.

Ok I need help with this... I got the arm off and the little nozzle thingy but I cant get the interior hatch trim to come off!! I unscrewed the 2 screws that are obvious but after that what else needs to come off?

EDIT: Ok I got the trim off with a lot of force but-- this is gonna sound really dumb-- What do I do with the motor? How do I disconnect it?

remove the rubber washer hose and plug it with something. unplug the wiring harness connector. then unscrew the three large hex bolts (you can see 2 of em in the pic below).

good luck!

^Thanks man! Got it done-- but I forgot to plug the water hose. Got a 1inch plug at Lowes for a $1.50 that works perfectly (which I will wrap in black vhnyl to make it blend in more).

You know, I have actually been glad to have had that wiper back there on a few occassions. What do you guys do when the rear window takes on the artistic translucence of a coke bottle?

I used that exact same plug and even though it snaps in seemingly perfect you still want to smear some silicone around the inside lip or it will leak.

funny question to me. either i clean it or enjoy the artistic translucence. that's the price of beauty.

Either clean the car, or look in your side mirrors.

I have shaved the COOPER logo off of the back of my car. It looks really good, and it only took about 10 minutes with a hair dryer and some Goo-Gone. VIP has a really good wiper delete kit for 15 bucks on their website. That includes shipping and instructions too.

I'm going to be doing this soon with a custom plug. I'll post pictures and findings when I'm done. Great info in this thread!

I'm in the same boat as you. I also tried a battery puller and a wiper puller. I bent the arm on both pullers before the arm budged. I tried a crapton of WD-40 and PB Blaster and nothing helped. I eventually gave up. :(

while trying to get the wiper arm off, the 3 plastic arms on the motor that screw into the boot snapped, so i got the hacksaw out and chopped it off in the end!!
