Oh well, I will just give it a good yank when I get home from work this arvo. I suppose if worst comes to worst I can put a small pilot drill bit down the centre and the screw it back on with some small screws. Just see what happens first.

Got them off, wasn't too bad at all to get them off. I actually popped the door trim off down the bottom and pushed on the grill from the inside. I just pushed at each one of the plastic welds and it popped straight off. I think I will put a dob of glue there though when I put them back just to make sure they don't come off again. Thanks for your help, your a champ I'll post some pics up when I get it finished

I would want to see a better pic on those e-bay ones. You can't even tell if they are carbon fiber in the pics.

I wasn't telling anyone really. Just my 2¢. But that is any amazing deal on carbon pieces if they look good.

Yeah I agree there price is a bit too high. They also now have an R56 front grill in Carbon for $425... too high for my budget. But I'm curious if anyone as ever dealt with NVD Autosport. Note that there from Bangkok.

They are extremly expensive as well. Although shipping would be a good bit cheaper. But for me to get the door handles, lower speaker rings, upper speaker/door handle pulls, side vent, air vent trim rings and rev counter trim ring, Im looking at almost $1,100 NOT counting shipping. Thats a boat load of money for a bunch of basically small trim pieces!

I know Snyper bought his new rear LED lights from them. They are also a vendor on the forum.

I ordered euro arches from them and they got here in like 3 days. I was so surprised. That's faster than some American car parts I've ordered

I ordered their MFSW inserts, upper and lower speaker grills, and downtubes. Placed the order in 6 weeks ago, and got the downtubes in about 10 days. The JCW carbon fiber downtubes I think are actually cheaper from them than most US suppliers. The rest of the order was pricey and required me sending a little "reminder" email to keep it moving, but now I've got everything and they are very nicely done. The match the JCW parts perfectly.

I finally bit the bullet and placed an order for door handles, lower speaker rings, upper speaker/door pull rings and fender side vents all in carbon fiber. Took almost a month to get it as they were apparently out of a lot of stuff and their order was being held up in customs. I must say when it finally arrived it was all very nice stuff! I dont think anyone can ever talk me into putting door handles on again. What a nightmare!! The lower speaker grills were pretty bad too as I had to break up a mushroomed head of melted plastic that holds the speaker cover in place. I was expecting screws! Then when installing the new ones, I had to melt the plastic tabs on them. I did use plastic epoxy as well just as an added saftey measure to be sure they would not come loose. Whoever designed how those speaker grills are held in place ought to be shot and hung upside down to bleed out. I noticed also that the rest of the door pull and big plastic panel ovel are also held in by melted plastic tabs. What gives?

While they're not very mod-friendly, those plastic melt tabs make sense from a manufacturing standpoint. There's no need for the grille to be removable, and using melt tabs is cheaper, requires fewer parts, requires less complicated/less expensive machinery to assemble the two parts together, and the joined parts are less likely to squeak, rattle, or come apart over time.

I understand why they did it, because its cheaper but holy ****! Trying to figure out how to get replacements in was horrible. They must have used some kind of special tool to melt those tabs originally. I just took a small piece of metal, heated it until cherry red with a propane torch and melted the tabs from the new carbon fiber replacement grills down almost level and melted it into the surrounding plastic of the door. I then took Locktite 7 minute plastic epoxy and put it over top, and around the melted plastic. That baby aint going nowhere! But still, cheaper or not, its a horrible surprise to modders when you first see that, and were expectin to be able to take some screws out and put the new one in with the same screws. And dont even get me started on those door handles. Yes, there is a small access hole to get to that upper hex bolt but it does not line up with the bolt and you had better be pretty good shoving your arm up into that end of the door and getting a hex wrench into the bolt and loosening and tightening it blind because your going to have to do it. It took me about two and a half hours to do each door and I cut the **** out of my hands doing it. Why that access hole does not line up with that hex bolt is beyond me. My neighbors were getting an earful when I was working on my car!

I wouldn't think these parts would be too difficult, though I've never done bezels here is a pic of the 'y' handle, and as mentioned epoxy works good for re-attaching and a dremel will make for quick removal.

Oh, those handles are just pure sex...

Did you make them, or are they available somewhere?

I did not even know those were available in cabon Fiber. Did you get those from New MINI parts? If so, I may have to order those and pull my door panels back off! The door panels come off pretty easy. Its the door handles that are the nightmare, and the lower speaker covers that can be a pain if you are not brave enough to cut your other ones out and melt the new ones in!
