Check Out Dr Evil's New Shoes!
When we bought Dr Evil a little over a year ago, we loved the S-Lites on him. But they were a little scuffed up. Then I painted the brake calipers, thinking they'd look great in red, to go along with the other red accents on the MINI. But with the S-Lites, you really couldn't see much of the calipers at all.
Solution... new wheels. Before: http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r...ShineDSF-1.jpg After: http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r...lNewShoes2.jpg http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r.../NewShoes3.jpg http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r.../NewShoes5.jpg http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r...ilNewShoes.jpg http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r.../NewShoes4.jpg I'm not done with those wheels yet. I'm going to put some new center caps on them as soon as they arrive from Aesthetic Creations. And I may or may not put some new valve stem caps on them (x 8). |
VERY sporty!! I like your approach to open visible access to those calipers. Kudos.
looks great! congrats!
Nice! Perhaps a stupid question..... Why are there 2 valve stems?
The second valve stem is so you can put a pressure guage on one and fill on the other. Needed for exact pressures when you race, I guess.
Very nice CRPWNICEWHEELSJB!
Now hand over the particulars - Manufacturer, model, size .. you know the routine. |
NICE!
I thought the two stems were for purging air when doing Nitrogen fill.... |
Wow!! They look great....
Donna:cool:   |
Very nice!! I think some Wilwoods would look pretty hot there! Just showing what another black MCS with silver wheels looks like with Wilwoods

... and a Thank You to all who complimented the wheel choice.
very nice Chris. looks great
Thank you, Dear.
Nice wheels! You may want to get a nice brush for washing them. My Koseis are a pain to clean, but worth the efforts!
Thanks !
And hey... I'm an OCDetailer. Don't worry, already have them waxed and Slicked. One of the reasons I bought these is because I find the thin spokes a lot easier to clean than those fat-spoked S-Lites... more room to work. |
The black with a few subtle reds thrown in is a favorite of mine. Me like!
Sexay!
They look great! I agree with the whole cleaning thing, getting around the S-lites is a PAIN!
