Yeah but would you rather have miniscule results and great looks? Or an skate ramp that looks not so much and great results? Especiellly since it wouldnt be going on the track that much.

In all honesty, do you really think a huge wing is going to look good on our car? This is a mini, not a civic. Unless its like onasleds car etc.

big wings...nonsense about downforce...sounds like a POS honda thread if ya ask me. C'mon everyone lets get some folgers cans and throw them on our cars, get a couple 747 airplane wings and bolt them on the back and go inside and watch The Fast and the Furious. Honda Civics, Acura Integras...I'm getting sick to my stomach.

On another note....Randy why would you invest so much money into a wing that you yourself said ".....isn't for everyone , only those that have asked for it". So why bother making something that only a few people are interested in...when I'm sure you know that alot of people are interested in the GP wing. I know its too expensive but why not come up with another way to do it to keep the costs down. Just a thought

At least this challenge wing uses the standard wing bolts, the GP appears to attach to the sides of the boot. Id be happy with either. But the challenge wing is so unnecessary its cool. They are fun cars

All right, you are not a fan of Hondas. But you have to admit this wing is like the **** on a bull. Whether it's Honda like or not.

OK, I understand whenever someone posts something on any forum anywhere on the Internet that they open themselves up to criticism from any peep that happens to pop. But what cracks me up is how some folks like to try and take it too far and get personal, or just plain rude. What's up with that? If you don't like something, or would like something different, why not just say that and move along? IMHO, life (and Minis) would be pretty d@mn boring if everyone had the same tastes.

With that being said, IMO the end plates on this wing do look a bit bulky. Even if they are copies of the JCW Challenge wing. I to would much rather see something similar (copy) of the GP wing. I do however applaud M7 for bringing more options to the Mini scene.

I had a discussion with a customer today at the L.A MTTS and the subject of the end plates came up . He thought that the top of the wing could be a bit shorter for a less aggressive look . The first version out will have aluminum end plates and they would be rather easy to trim to personal taste by the end user if he so desired. Our goal was to answer the demand for a " challenge wing " and if customers want to do some mods on their own it would not be that hard .
As for a GP wing we will keep it on a " possible " list but is pretty far down at this point . Lots of irons in the fire at the moment .

Ok I have some more input for you on this project. First the disclaimers. This is a prototype and has been installed on this race car for evaluation purposes. The street version may or may not look different we will know after the testing is done . For example the length of the tails could possibley be a bit shorter for a street can but we do not know at this point. I merely put up these shots to give you some idea of what they may look like on a R-53. When there is enough info and / or interest I will start a seperate thread.

The prototypes of GP wing copies seen so far have not been that good. I do think that if someone comes up with some practical cost effective way to add a GP like wing that they'd make a better profit and certainly have more market share than with a challenge wing lookalike which is not my cup of tea

I agree with you 100% but this project had and still has a lot of interest so we started it first. As I said a GP wing is under consideration but we have other projects which are taking priority. Thanks for the input

Rebel1010110 you know you're wasting your time and everyone else's time posting on this forum when four consecutive posts made by you get edited by the moderators for lets just say "lack of decency" correct Chris? If your opinions are getting edited that much, they are obviously not worth crap and although people here always say "everyone's entitiled to their own opinion..blah blah blah" you really are not because your opinion is worthless to this community. And thats not just me saying that, that's the moderators as well deleting your comments. Hope this helps ya out in the future

I love what you guys are offering. Keep it up!!
