Roof Damage. Opinions needed
 

As you know the windsheild of the Mini is closer to vertical than most other cars. This causes the leading edge of the roof to sustain damage.

I have several burns in the paint from bugs that died and dried before I could clean them off.

What I am asking is anyone who would be interested in having a clear bra developed for this area please post your interest here and maybe we can get one of the vendors to offer one. If you are interested please post a price that you feel would be reasonable to get you to buy one.

*I* would be interested in one, and if you post this in the Detailing forum I bet you'd get a lot more folks to jump on board. That area of my paint always feels like crap no matter what I do.

If we're talking about just the price for the film, I don't really know what's reasonable? $50? My issue is I would pay to have it installed.

Makes me want to call my clear bra guys and see if they'd be willing to try it out. They do all their patterns themselves.

If you went to a shop that installs clear bras they'll probably have uncut sheets of material (as opposed to model-specific templates). They could apply a strip of it to the leading edge of the roof for you. I don't see a need for a special shape to be designed.

Any good shop that does this work should not need anything special to add a strip of material to your roof.
