New ECS HD Strut Mounts - Gen 1 & Gen 2 MINIs!
New ECS HD Strut Mounts - Gen 1 & Gen 2 MINIs!
ECS Tuning
The ECS Heavy Duty Front Strut Mount offers a significant performance increase to your vehicle's handling and long-term durability compared to factory strut mounts. With the increased durometer over the OEM 60A strut mounts, the ECS 70D durometer rubber strut mounts will better resist deflection and premature wear that commonly plagues the OE strut mounts - all without sacrificing ride comfort. This is a must-have for installing sport springs, coilovers, or when performing front suspension service.
OE strut mounts are known to wear within an extremely short lifespan, typically associated with annoying clunks and front-end rattles as the vehicle goes over bumps and uneven terrain. The ECS Heavy Duty Strut Mount is built to last with its increased durometer and is precision manufactured to OE tolerances.
We have two locals MINIs running each set everyday and have put them through the test and trails of Northeast Ohios pot hole filled highways!!

@ECSTuning
i currently have IE fixed camber plates with my OEM equivalent struts and springs, but i think i want less camber. i'm debating going with adjustable strut mounts but came across these and am intrigued. would you give some more information about the difference between the two rubbers used (60A for stock vs 70D for ECS) and what kind of life expectancy do you foresee vs a stock mount?
what kind of testing have y'all done? how many miles have the test cars put on them?
i found this chart and it looks like they would be significantly stiffer than stock, but i'm curious and would love to know what kind of considerations y'all to deciding on the replacement material.

We have a set running on two MINIs daily and still to this day. R53 and R56s. 1,000s of miles of testing. In pot hole filled ohio! We have some of the worst roads in America and after this last winter it looks really bad, great testing grounds.
We have the same style mount rubber in multiple vehicles across multiple makes we have sold for years for VW, Audi, BMW etc See here https://www.ecstuning.com/b-ecs-part...ension-shocks/ Now we have MINI ones.
The stock mounts from the factory crack both on Gen 1 and Gen 2 over time, i replaced them twice in genuine on my other MINIs, now i have coilovers with camber plates, so i dont have these currently. These based off tests should hold up better and last longer, we also have lifetime replacement on these so, you have that also.
Hope that helps.
