Why wouldn't this work...

Why wouldn't this work? Seems like a low budget way to get similar results than buying an over priced CAI.

Why not take this foam panel filter:

and do this modification:

This should increase flow through restrictive stock box and filter. How much better flow can happen by spending another $200?

No reason why that shouldn't work -- as long as you make the holes on the right side of the filter!
