READ BEFORE POSTING:: How to forum

Welcome to the How to forum for 1st Generation MINIs! This is a place where you can post a new thread teaching other MINI owners how to preform a modification, repair or maintenance procedure for their MINI.

When naming a new thread, please start the title by indicating the type of modifcation (Drivetrain MC, Drivetrain MCS, Interior, Exterior, Nav/Audio, Electrical, Etc.) then a description of the procedure to be explained.

If there's something that you don't see a thread for in the How To forum, please post a request for it in the request thread so others can check it and make it if possible. Do not start a new thread asking for a how to for something, so that when people see a thread with a particular subject they'll know that it will contain directions from the get go.

To start things off a number of previously written how tos have been imported from the other modification forums, if you happen to come across one that has not yet been moved, that you feel would be appropriate please use the post report feature at the beginning of the thread, so this resource can continue to grow.

All new threads in this forum do require moderator approval before the display in the forum.

Hello, i just own a 02 mini cooper S and want to replace the shift knob. Can any one help me? I tried to pull it up but couldn't.
Thanks

Pull harder... seriously, but make sure your sun roof is open, and make sure your face isn't right about the shift knob..

Good day! I recently replaced inner CV boots and noticed a few folks wanting a how-to for this. I made one but it has been awaiting moderator approval for a while. Just checking the status, thanks!
