Is anyone opposed to tacking on an extra $5.00/bottle to raise money for the charity? This wine will also feature a special label commemorating this special event.
I'd prefer to just pay for my wine and donate to charity on an individual basis.
Hi Shaun, it looks like things are falling into place for this big event. I should know by the end of Jan. if I can make it. This would be a great way to celebrate my 75th Birthday. I'll keep my fingers crossed!!

We're keeping our fingers crossed you can make it! It would make for a great 75th!
BLUCOOPR,
Congrats to you also, even thou your still a young "Whippersnapper". I hope to see you at Helenblitz in Feb. We'll probably be the only "Old Farts" there. LOL
I just got off the phone with the Best Western in Helen. Carol Powell (General Manager) says there are still rooms left, but there have been steady calls for reservations. Call soon if you are planning on staying; at $59/night it is great insurance for those who want to "socialize" with the other MINI owners.
I am sorry your having this problem..I didn't encounter this.. last yr.. I am going to go ahead.. and put something up under our forum for M2C2..I know alot of people have been checking that as well..
Just an FYI.. for each person going to the Georgia , USC basketball game, being hosted by Charleston Mini.. they will donate something for the auction... sooooooooo the more the merrier on Feb 7th!
Cannot wait for this!

Ruffcat,
JJo and I will be there, but will likely only be bringing one MINI.
Indeed... a flyer, etc. Forgive my ignorance, but is there a "formal" info page for this event?
Is there a registration area so that we can see how many are actually are plannin' on bein' there?
Not sure if you received my PM, so I will post my response here:
"Send me an e-mail address and I will send you the flyers. I am in the process of putting together a new flyer that is updated for the event and will get that out this week.
Being just the second year for this event, we did not have a formal registration page because we didn't realize this event would take off like it did. From all of the communications I have received (forums and e-mails) we are look to have between 90-120 MINI/Minis for this event. This number may go up if the Atlanta MINIs group chooses this as their official February Event."
I hope this answers your question, if not please PM me and I will try to answer the best I can.
That number sounds great. Looking forward to seeing some "normal" people in Helen while there.
June before last, we were there and it was crazy. Shriners were there. Nothing against them ( they have a great cause, and I know some ), but after an hour of their parade (with loud stuff) that was enough. Leave? Yes, we could have, but we were tryin' to eat lunch.
Hrmm, didn't see this posted at AtlantaMinis, so I'm definitely glad I decided to lurk over here for a bit... just PM'ed ya' my e-mail address... looking forward to more info! (We'll probably drive up for the day on Saturday... sounds like fun!)

We still have rooms at the Best Western if you are interested in participating in either of the social events Friday or Saturday night. Be sure to introduce yourself when you get there.
