I saw this car, presumably at his place of employment on a military base. Those graphics look even better in person! I was amazed. I didn't report it here on the "sightings" thread because I'm too lazy to report MINI sightings.

BTW Minihune, were you there (at what looks to be a paint/graphics garage) because you're considering having your MINI tatooed similarly?

We don't need Wyland!

I'm not big on these types of paint jobs....I'm all for keeping things simple!

Actually chili red would make a great background for a lava flow, with Kilauea in the background. How bout it Kohu'ula?

Kohu'ulaMINI has a velvet red MC.
SouthseaSadie or Anotherminiman has a CR/W MC.

Lava Flow? Hmm.

A gold MC would be good background for Italian Job graphics with gold bars. Or maybe Las Vegas graphics?

I like the idea of Italian Job graphics. Very appropriate - - - Gold bars - - - maybe that would be better on a CB/CB MC, like Keikilee's.

As conservative as I am, being "radical" with graphics might mean stripes.

no ways....you aint gonna find no graphics on keikilee's mc! i like my mini clean (design wise, not as in brake dust) and simple!

I agree, Keikilee's black MC is great the way it is plus she might pack a chainsaw in the boot to ward off would be graphics demons. Stand clear.

That's a good motto, but I like the one by that great Chinese Philosopher, Will Hung:
"I did my best, and I have no regrets . . . and I have no professional training."

Yeah and he has a new CD and DVD out now. He don't "need "no professional training. It's scary that he is better at being a singer/celebrity than he is as an engineer student.

More mottos:
Reuse, recycle, refill.

Saw the honu car today at Pearl Harbor N.E.X. He almost hit our minivan as we were making a right into the parking area.

Okay, I've been holding back this comment. Whew! Let's find the Honu is better than hide the sausage!

Close call.
I nearly got flattened once by a large white van running a red light early sunday morning some months ago on my way to the Hawaii Raceway park. He came out of nowhere just as the light turned red and I was beginning to roll into the intersection slowly. No horn, no braking he must have been going 40+ in a 25 zone. Now I watch for similar trouble at every stop.

The_Beastmaster Apr 5, 2004 01:48 AM

Well, when I was driving mom's CVT to Koko Marina I almost got flattened by a SUV coming out of the shopping center without looking. Under normal circumstances, I would have yelled something to the driver about getting his head out of his arse. However, this was no ordinary circumstance as the offending SUV driver was none other than Duane "Dog" Chapman.

I also almost got run over in the Costco parking lot by a Ford Excursion and again held my breath because it was driven by a big Samoan guy driving around Salevaa Atisanoe.

Were you a pedestrian or in your MINI?
Salevaa Atisanoe is former Sumo Ozeki Konishiki
At about 6'1" tall he weighed over 600 pounds

The_Beastmaster Apr 5, 2004 02:35 AM

I was a pedestrian at the Hawaii Kai Costco. Sale was 329 lbs when he was in high school and he was huge then. His football jersey did not fit him properly and his belly would be hanging over his pants.

minihune Apr 5, 2004 02:54 AM

By today's football weight standards, 329 pounds isn't too bad at all for a nose guard or a center.
He has big hands and is a good athlete in general.

Well I've got to hang around the Pearl Harbor NEX but it is huge.
It's worse than costco and not nearly as close for me.
Oh Well. I'll have to settle for pictures until I get lucky.
