Ordered it from Stratmosphere. It finally arrived yesterday. I have decided to have it professionally installed (which in hindsight was a wise thing to do). The folks at Exhaust System Hawaii did it (Rick and company). They were very professional and helpful. The fit was good, although did have some trouble in the beginning in centering the twin tips. When the whole thing was pau, they found a pin hole near the slip join which is leaking somewhat. Solved the problem by welding.

Drove it around a bit. First the sound. It is NOT LOUD at all. Basically, not much sound until you go up above 3500 rpm. I like the note, which is deep, and contrasts the Madness intake that I have (which has a higher note). For those JCW owners who want to switch to Milltek for lounder note only, I think you will be disappointed. Should listen to one LIVE before making the switch. I had heard JCW exhaust and this Milltek is not much louder, if at all. But that is what I like. This one will definitely not BUZZ the neighborhood.

It terms of torgue and power gain, may be it is my imagination but do do feel some improvement in throttle response, but not much. Freeway acceleration from standing still seems to be smoother. But on the whole not a big difference. It is only fair to say that the exhaust is only 3 hrs old and may need to wait for the ECU to adapt. The only mod I had so far is the Madness Intake. So go figure.

Will try to post a sound or video clip, if I am able to do it.

Aloha.

Ahh yes, the all important butt dyno. It feels like it has more power due to the increased noise levels. You will probably gain a few hp, but that will take a few days depending on your driving style. "Drive it like you stole it" for a few days and then compare it to a stock MCS, you'll definitely feel the difference. Why the difference in a few days? This is due to the adaptive technology of the ECU which learns your driving style. Take 2 stock MCS' and dyno them. Have one driven by a maniac and the other driven by a little old lady. After a week do a dyno run on them and the maniacs car will dyno higher.

Give it about a week for the ECU to adapt and the exhaust to mellow out.

Then test drive your MCS in third gear at 4000 to 6500 rpm and tell us what you think. A clear freeway entrance would be ideal for testing with dry road conditions. If you are still not impressed then I can always lend you some lightweight wheels and I bet your eyes will grow larger as you get stuck to the back of your seat.

The intake and Milltek exhaust should be good for about 15 HP so definitely something there. Want more? Get on the list for the 15% or greater reduction pulley party for Jan 17th- I can add you at any time so just let me know. Good for another 20HP. Add the ECU upgrade- maybe another +10HP.

If you drive mostly in the 1000-3500 rpm range then you won't notice that much difference. Stay in the lower gears longer and rev up the engine.
