Found this in Roadfly but thought you guys might get a kick out of seeing how durable our MINIs are. This guy evidently hit a moose (don't worry no dead moose shots) and he posts pictures of his car.

Here's one from Autoweek magazine about one of their writers avoiding a deer and going head-on with a tree!

This one really shows how well the MINIs are built - thank God for BMW engineering!

How about the quote from the MINI Engineer : “The Mini gives its life to protect the life of the occupants.”

minihune,

Did you see my other link? That was a head-on with a tree while avoiding a deer! Airbag deployed for sure then!

Stupid darn moose. Hate when that happens. And those darn flying squirrels leave a mess also. Watch me pull a squirrel out of my MINI.

Yet another pleasure related to northern driving. Moose are a major road hazzard in VT (where this guy was), NH, and ME. As dumb as possoms, and about 200 times bigger. Actually it's not all that funny...about 2 people die each year in ME alone from moose collisions.

In fact, Saab (from Sweden, where there are more moose than people in many locations), tests its cars specifically for moose crashes.
