Team HMMC is very close on obtaining it's goal and we feel confident that it will be met.
All Team HMMC Artritis participants have earned the MINI Motoring Hearts Badge.
MINI of Hawaii would like to offer an incentive to supercede the goal. Any Team HMMC member who raises $100 or more will receive a official MINI Motoring Hearts Cap.
Motoring Hearts pledge sheets were sent out as an attachment to our e-mail, but it may have been overlooked. We are sending them out again.
A pledge of $1. per person on your completed pledge sheet will go a long way. (Opps! Sorry for the edit)
It is not mandatory to contribute $ to earn a MINI Motoring Hearts Badge. The award is for Do-Gooders.
See you on saturday!
Aloha Motoring!

Squatters Needed!!!
--WHO said life's not full of second chances?
The HMMC is in need of squatters to take over maximum parking space at the Central Oahu Regional Park (CORP) parking lot between the times of 8a.m. and 9a.m.
If you think you can help the club out by coming down to the CORP between those times and parking in as many stalls as physically possible please post a roger wilco here and e-mail yours truly (that's me --> pyratio@gmail.com) to let me know what time you will be there and what your cellular number is.
As far as we know there is only one event publicly scheduled for the CORP and that is a swimming competition but there may be many other organizations planning on using the park in the morning so space MAY get tight by the time our HMMC walkers get there at around 9:15a.m. So get there as early as you can AND park badly. Diagonal, horizontal, you name it, then open your doors and boots!
~Legal Notice~
The HMMC, Keiki Lee and all officers and volunteers do not recommend you normally park like this unless you are expecting a dozen or more MINIs to come to your rescue in short order. The HMMC also does not condone forming wagon wheels with your MINIs and shooting suction cup arrows at threatening SUVs and Mini-vans that encroach on your territory. Please don't do that!
~Legal Notice~
Where do we want you guys to squat at?
Central Oahu Regional Park (CORP)
The address is:
94-801 Kamehameha Highway, Waipahu, Hawaii 96797
If you need driving directions to CORP click here.
Again if you have ANY questions feel free to post them here and or PM or e-mail me at pyratio@gmail.com. I will provide all squatters with my cell phone number, instructions, suction cups..(AHEM!) eh I mean and morale support.
Happy Motoring everybody and I hope to see YOU out there this Saturday!
- Do YOU resemble the living dead before your first cup of coffee?
- Are you able to brush your teeth, comb your hair, and get dressed in the morning before opening your eyes?
- Did you want to come out to the Arthritis Walk this Saturday but just thought it was so WRONG WRONG WRONG to wake up before 8a.m. on a Saturday Morning?

Did you get the e-mail from MofH regarding this event? They included a sheet for recording cash transactions. I would think if you write their name and address on that (and give them a copy of it), it would sort of be like a receipt.

Great turnout!
What a great turnout! It was great seeing everyone again.
Thanks to MINI of Hawaii for the snacks and MINI Motoring Hearts!
Great group shot of the participants!
The park needs to keep an eye on this bunch of riff-raff.
Someone wants to be a JDM model.
More photos to follow.

Picture Time!!!!
--It was a really cool event!!! Notice how our HMMC Motorists huddle closely to the warmth of the nearest Starbucks counter? Pictures ala Deanna.
"Oh brrr it's so early...speak softer I have a hangover....hey I'm still drunk.. "
Peter easily lapped most of the superlap drivers during the first lap.
We were awarded plush flowers from Pricebusters for finishing a lap.
Our nice lineup after the Arthritis Walk at CORP. Hey you Lexus driver get away from our MINIs! j/k Casey
Keiki and her flower gives us a talk....wait it's saying "open your mind..." See it hypnotized Darrel too!
Nah actually she gave us the background of why we participate in the Arthritis Walk. One of our member's nephews is afflicted with Arthritis.
I was distracted by people talking about Corvette C6s and Ford GT40s. Hey wait! Is anyone paying attention? Oooh look rain...
Darrel from MoH came down and gave a nice speech about the Mini Motoring Hearts program and to show his appreciation he awarded people with "Rebel with a Cause" caps and gave each participant a Mini Motoring Hearts Badge just like Keiki's! Here we are posing with our badges and our MINIs.
Ah the whole gang for Mini Motoring Hearts event number 1!!! Good turnout!
Here's Peter pimping his ride towards the end of the event. Busted!!! Hey wait a minute! That's a MINI imposter!
We had tons of fun and it was great to see all the HMMC members again. Even one of the oldest members showed up at the end, Adam.
Thanks to everyone that turned out for the event and thank you HMMC Officers for working so hard to put this thing together. The food and mini-kegs were great Casey! Good job people! Thanks MoH for the great gifts and cool badges. Your support makes the MINI experience SOOOOO much better than any other car ownership experience.
I'd like to make a special shot out to Deanna too who is this event's reigning champ at $250 total raised for this event. Good job girl!!!
