I had some side work to do that day. One of those easy but involved things.
So is there anything news worthy to say about the meeting?

"Good to see all of you today
OK, we made some progress. Thanks to all who attended (about 25 of us) and to Kohu/MINI of HI for the drinks.

We have a core group of about 4 or 5+ honestly interested MINI enthusiasts willing to volunteer to serve as club officers. The core group will examine the bylaws and look at the roles for each position and finalize who will take which role but for now at least we know:

I'll be president for 2005
bellybean329 will be VP
Kohu will be MINI (dealer) liason
Keiki will be founder (as always)
Sadie will be newsletter coordinator
JCW04 will be event coordinator
Bill will be membership coordinator
Mina and Blownlonestar are looking at secretary/treasurer

We will be scheduling an officer's meeting in the next week or two. Probably have officer's meetings quarterly.

We would still love to hear from more members about what you'd like to see for activities for the year. We are always open for suggestions. There are plenty of open dates for 2006."

 

Did autocross the fullday on Sunday and was out all today at a chess tournament and fireworks tonight.

Thanks, yes the update previously posted is what we have so far.
Still trying to get the new officers together soon for a meeting to decide each position and get organized for this coming week. Lots to do over the next two weeks.

A noteworthy change-
The NAM coordinator for HMMC will be changed from JCW04 to Bellybean329.
JCW04 will continue to serve at Events coordinator- I discussed this with him today while Bellybean329 will help keep our NAM HMMC forum tidy and accurate.

Many thanks to JCW04 for his help with the forum and we look forward to his help with all of the events for the rest of the year.

Also many thanks to Bellybean329 who will be taking over (I'm letting DiD know right now). We heard from your spouse that you might spend a few minutes watching over NAM so what better person could there be for the task. Please do let us know how we can help you.

OK, more on updates later, and this weekend is the Pulley upgrade party (DIY) from July 8th to 11th. Best day to drop by is sunday the 10th all day at Tiresdirect (old costco tire shop site in Salt Lake). We can have a potluck barbeque about lunch time through dinner time.
