The park on tantalus closes at 6:30p. other than that looks good!
Just call me when you folks hit Ala Moana so that I can tell you where I'll meet you folks at Magic Island. It might be better if you NOT go into the Magic Island Parking lot and if that's the case, I'll meet you folks just outside of the parking lot.
I believe we'll need to use several packs of cards, so someone might get 5 of a kind. I'm assuming that hand would probably win it all, eh?
FYI - All monies collected will go toward our HMMC Relay team. So far, We've already raised over $650!!!! See the first post in this thread for more information.
If anyone is interested in attending the event, just let me know and I can send you the details.

minihune...i'll be dropping off some prizes at the dealership tomorrow. be sure to stop by there at some point to pick them up!
yup...I'll be at the Relay for Life event supporting my team! My team will be in black and white with the numbers 2, 3, 50, 90 printed on it. If any of you want to stop by Magic Island to see what these events are all about, give me a call 478 1547. the event starts at 7p and runs until 7a the next morning! and yes, despite the fact that I just got home after 2 delayed flights and 14 hours of traveling, I will be there all night!
parking will be at Magic Island or Ala Moana Beach Park.

Yes, I'll stop by to pick those up today.
Yes, we would like to come out to visit you and your team at magic island tonight. Not sure exactly when but when we finish our poker rally we plan to come over to you.
Maybe you can nap a little before 7pm or take an early rest shift when you get a chance.
Great job.

That's what motoring is all about!
bellybean329.... you're right - a great route and a thrill on every turn! Great to see some new faces and MINIs attending. Thanks Minihune - you did a great job keeping us in line and playing "dealer"! Let's do it again soon - ok now let's see some of those photos posted - anxious to see our MINIs looking out over the great Pacific Ocean and downtown Honolulu. And all for a good cause:smile:

Thanks to minihune for getting everyone together for this rally! Altogether, the Hawaii MINI Motoring Club Team has reached $982 in donations! Awesome! I still have a few more donations that will be coming in so I'm sure we'll pass the $1k mark!
I wish you folks would have had a chance to stop by my other team's campsite! We won best overall campsite (theme, decorations and food), best overall team spirit (for the skit we did) and took 3rd place for most donations collected ($17k!!!).
Thanks again to everyone for their donations and support helping to cure cancer!

Great job everyone!
Keikilee,
Thank you for your efforts in making us more aware of Relay for Life and how important it is. Your team deserved the awards- very nicely done from what I saw last night. The projection screen explaining the meaning of ":Cancer 2 3 50 90" was great and your shirts were excellent (thanks to Keiki).
I'd like to make Relay for Life a major event for HMMC next year. With a year to plan we can lay the groundwork for preparing. It will be alot of work but we have some experienced members in the club. I have some additional contacts from teams that have also done it this year.
Many many thanks to those who supported Relay for Life through donations made in our MINI Rally for Life last night. We managed to play 20 hands at $5 each and congrats to Jeri for her QQQ which won the grand prize donated by Keiki (tote bag, shirt, synthetic oil).
I'm glad everyone liked the route- it's an abbreviated one compared to others that I have been on. If that was too simple for you then you might try autocrossing. Some of you looked awfully good driving those tight corners. Kohu, I can't believe you'd not driven that round top road down to punchbowl before. I took my family on it going up once and they were all complaining how winding it was.
I thought the view from the top of roundtop was spectacular and we didn't even get kicked out since the closing time was 745pm not 645pm as in the spring. We took a bunch of group photos so stay tuned.
A note of caution- be careful with dodging those potholes. I thought the tantalus road was actually a bit better than usual and the potholes I memorized last trip were repaired only to be replaced by other potholes. You should always expect poor road conditions and be safe. Don't take chances.

once next year's schedule comes out, I'll let you know. There are a few dozen relays here in Hawaii every summer. The Magic Island Relay is the most "corporate" whereas most of the other Relay's are more community/family oriented.
It's an awesome event, and I would love to help HMMC plan to participate next year!
thanks again...

sounds like i missed a whole lotta fun. well, at least i had a some fun too in las vegas. although i lost $$$, i got to see my classmates, eat breakfast at 3 pm, eat lunch at 7 pm, eat dinner at 4 am, and meet some good-looking girls every day/night. oh yeah, and my name is kliff (cliff with a "K") and my buddys are norm and sam and...
there was this "luxury cars" or "exotic cars" shop in one of the malls, i think the "forum shops" by caesar's. awesome place to check out. no minis, but plenty of stuff to look at. they even had a mini race track for r/c cars complete with rubber flooring for grippy turns. and the real attraction...a full on display room of exotic cars and some bikes that you walk around on the perimeter. sorry, if this is old news, but for me it's the first time i saw this place and it was kool. plus they had a few models dressed in white and heels strolling around.
oh yeah, and i saw mini-t and barry at main street saturday night.
