transmission out, need reliable shop to fix it

I recently bought a 2005 Mini Cooper convertible manual transmission, not S from a shady character on craigslist.

I've only driven one tank of gas and the transmission is seized. I can't put it in gear when it's turned on, very easily. It does the same thing when I let out the clutch no matter what gear it is in, it bucks, then dies. Even in neutral. Well, first it makes a terrible grind noise, but that is pretty much gone now.

Before the transmission seized up, it would pop out of gear. First 5th gear, then 5th and 2nd, then all the gears. Then it seized up. The transmission got stuck all at once. it wasn't gradual.

Anyone know of a reliable place to have it diagnosed and fixed on Oahu?

I've spoken two 3 transmission shops, well I've spoken to a ton of shops, but only 3 work on mini's. One said it was 12 hours to replace the clutch, the other said 15 hours and the last said it was 115 to diagnose it or to tell me if it is worth fixing. :(
