Ready for a MINI Rally?
Saturday, April 2, 2016 9:00 AM Moanalua Shopping Center 930 Valkenburgh St, Honolulu, HI 96818, Honolulu, HI (map) Look for the yellow MINI with the MINION plate near Starbucks The HMMC (Hawaii MINI Motoring Club) is having our first drive of the year on Saturday, April 2. We'd love to have you join us for coffee and then be part of the rally for part or all of the drive. Come out and show your colors! We will be meeting at 9am at the Moanalua Shopping Center (just below the north side of the H1 immediately after you pass the airport coming from Honolulu). Look for us at Starbucks, it's easy to spot once you're in the center parking lot. We will depart promptly at 10 and head up to the Haleiwa, and then continue around the island. We will stop for snacks somewhere and then again for lunch (not yet determined, perhaps Mike's Huli-huli Chicken?). We should be back in Honolulu around 2pm. If you would like to join but are already on the North Shore or Windward areas, let me know and we'll figure out a convenient meetup point and approximate time so that you can easily find us. Hope to see you all there. |

Sunday May 1 Moanalua Shopping Center 930 Valkenburgh St, Honolulu, HI 96818, Honolulu, HI Near Nimitz hwy past the Ewa end of the airport Look for MINIs in the parking lot and drivers at a table outside Starbucks We will leave the meeting point at 8:30 to do an early run over the Pali with an obligatory stop at the lookout for photos, then have breakfast in Kailua. After breakfast we can drive the Kalanianaole Highway and be back in Honolulu before noon. Suggestions for a good restaurant for breakfast? I like Cinnamons but am certainly open to other ideas... |

https://www.meetup.com/Hawaii-MINI-Motoring-Club/ Sunday, March 26, 2017 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM MINI cruise around East and Windward side Message from Chris: We will start at the Safeway on Beretania then hop on the Lunalilo (H1) Freeway from Piikoi and head towards Sandy Beach (stop) and then continue along Kalanianaole HWY to Maunawili. From there we will drive up and down Pali Hwy jumping back onto H1 East exiting Punahou. From Punahou to Beretania (one-way) with a quick left onto Kalakaua. We'll cruise along Kalakaua all the way to the finish point at Kapiolani Park. Depending on the number of motorists that RSVP, we may need to change the starting/meeting point. Am open to other suggested stops or routes. |

5 cars went yesterday including mine. It wasn't bad. A good day to get out of the house
How was the "traffic", can be a bit busy depending on what time you set out. Early start is better. Smaller group is more manageable. |
