I know a couple of guys that are in your area from past tours on the Blue Ridge Parkway through the Tarheel Mini Club here in NC. I think one might be in the Air National Guard.

There are some great MINI type roads over by Meadows of Dan, off Rt 58. There are several of us that do day trips in that area.

Awesome! I'd just like to meet up with some folks. Also, wouldn't mind finding someone who can code my tach led to do the heartbeat. (no factory alarm here...)

You're looking at ~350 miles drive just to get to the area. Be a good weekend trip. Back of the Dragon is not far from there so might be a good place to stay and make that run too.

Here is a thread on three great roads. The Snake and the Back of the Dragon are not that far apart whereas the Tale of the Dragon is something like three hours more.

I'd recommend doing the Tail of the Dragon during MOTD, May 2nd through May 6th. You can attend for the whole thing or just 1 or two days. Up to the individual on how long. If you decide to go I would recommend calling the lodge ASAP to have your name put on the waiting list. Last year I think we had ~600 Mini's registered in spite of the bad weather. My Grandson and I are going for three days next year.

Can the heartbeat thing be coded using the BimmerCode app? If so, I have that and could possibly help you out. I'm not a pro with it, but all the coding I've done so far with it has worked great. I'm located in Suffolk.
