STF and HSR being close seems reasonable. H-Street and STF being as close as they are together does not. STF did get a fair bit harder vs. the other ST classes. Grain of salt and all that.
Agreed on numbers for 2015 changing a bunch.
Running a G or H Street car in an indexed class with other cars on r-comps will be a fools errand if using these 2014 pax numbers.

Frankly, I think Rick is "gifting" people to use Hoo$iers in their last year for Stock/Street eligibility.
I fully believe Rick set the Street indexes thinking ahead to 2015 more so than worrying about upsetting the applecart in 2014. Doing PAX/RTP every year has to be one of the most thankless "jobs" someone brings upon themselves in all of the SCCA.

Here's a couple quotes from him from scca forums:
Yes, for most areas the .975 multiplier seemed to work quite well. For some areas it ended up being way too easy. With a brand new Category, I didn't want it to start out with everything just handed to that Category of cars.
There is a lot of history for what was Stock Category, not so with the new Street Stock Category. I used as much "good" data as was available to me and I had to start somewhere. I think these factors represent a good starting point.
..
As said, most Regional events are run on asphalt. In that all of this is new, and new tires are coming in to play all of the time, I think it's going to take a (at least) another year before really good conclusions can be drawn. I'll certainly be keeping track.
