GSM's day with the R56
 

This morning, about 20 of us met at Brian Harris MINI in Baton Rouge to try out the new R56s that just arrived. There were two 6-speed Ss and two automatic Coopers. I brought along, as a guest, a buddy from work who has been thinking about a Mini. Everybody who wanted to got to drive whichever they chose. BHM provided breakfast - coffee, juice, donuts, bagels, fruit, the works.

Both cars were an absolute hoot, totally awesome. The visual differences are subtle. No more burble from the exhaust :cry:, but otherwise I was very favorably impressed. My guest BOUGHT the first R56 sold in Louisiana, a beautiful Astro Black/White Cooper automatic with a tan leather interior (with off-white leather accents) and a wood dash. When I have more time, I'll post interior pics.
