I've run a few different sets of tires on my GPs and currently running BFG Sports Comp2 on one and Yoko Advan AD048 on the other both have worked well. The Yokos sure have more grip, but I like the BFG for daily use.

I ran several different tire setups during GP2 ownership:
1. Loved the OEM Kumhos while they lasted. These work year round for SoCal weather, not so much here in the Northeast.
2. Tried the Direzza ZII based on the hype. These were a disappointment on the GP2 and removed them after a week.
3. Went with Michelin PSS. These were great 3 season tires for daily use, and now use them on my current MINIs. But, they get very greasy at the track after a few laps. If you track your GP, get something more aggressive.
4, For winters (no snow) I used a set of Michelin AS/3. These were surprisingly grippy for the first half of their life, almost as good as the PSS. In time, the grip will deteriorate and NVH will slowly creep in. The Conti DWS06 is a better performance all-season tire and I run the Contis now on two other cars here during cold months.
Hope this helps those who are looking. YMMV.
