Value of factory GP wheels?

I am pondering selling the factory wheels because they are awful. What is the going price?

Your best bet is to try and sell them in south-central LA.

sorry....had to laugh!!

One note...
the gen1 OEM GP rims are still kinda $$$ used....even though there are various replicas..some in the WRONG size rims...
The gen2 rims have not popped up so far...Guess you get to be the guinea pig!

Just the rims, or with tires and TPMS and center caps complete? How many miles? These factors will make a huge difference.

Brand new JCW R112 take-offs get $1500. GP2 rims are less desirable, so that would be probably the high water mark for a brand new set.

Pm me if you want to chat, I could be interested.

FYI - I just picked up a set of red-stripped/black R113s with Pirelli P-Zeros and TPMS which I didn't need and JCW center caps were included. Got them locally for $1250. In like-new condition with less than 6000 miles the package.

I bought a pair of GP2 wheels from my dealer parts dept last year, and as I recall they were $400-ish apiece. I'd say that $1K for a used set of four wheels (no tires or TPMS included) would be a good place to start.

They will go to the highest bidder once I place them in the marketplace. Someone I know just offloaded his for $1500. Anything in that ballpark will be ok by me. If I have no takers then so be it, Ill just keep them.

Actually, you may want to keep them in the eventuality that you ever decide to let your GP go - most GP shoppers will be looking for a car that still has all of the GP-specific parts.

True, I have thought of this. I would rather think of it as me doing the future owner a favor by getting rid of these god awful plastic looking things.

My dealer gave me a second brand new set of GP2 rims with winter tires on them. I'll never use them

We have first-world problems

Ebay has GP2 "rip off" wheel replicas at BUY IT Now price for $500.00 per set of 4.

I would think you should be able to clear $1k for yours.....maybe bit more if tires still on them....

If you really want to know what they are worth, put them on eBay starting the bid at $1.

Describe them accurately and let the auction run, THAT WILL BE THE VALUE of the item. Its only worth what someone is willing to pay.

We can sit here all day and debate, but at the end of the day, only what someone is going to actually pay is the value.

MINI Could have just mounted these and it would have been better than the factory wheels.

The GP2 wheels aren't that bad. They are a nice evolution of the GP1 wheels.

Hey NOW! I happen to love my GP1 wheels and only looked for cars with the original wheels to buy when I purchased it 2 years ago. I would personally hold onto them, MINI geeks like myself like to see all the factory parts included with our purchases, so for me, if you did not have the wheels, I would ask you to buy a set and include them or take $1600 off the car, but then again, I am probably one of very few who is so picky. I like my R53 GP wheels, but the second generation do not look as nice IMO. If you could get $1500 for them, that would be hard to pass up.
